Iron Horse Mothers Club | Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Alamo

About Us

The Iron Horse Mothers Club (IHMC) was formed in April 1996, to serve as a resource to mothers with young children in the San Ramon, Danville, Dublin and Alamo communities. In 2004, our membership expanded when we merged with the Mothers Club of San Ramon Valley. We now have more than 400 members and are continuing to grow.

The IHMC is a support network for our members. Many moms join the mother's club in order to find a playgroup for their child/children; however, the mother's club has much more to offer. We plan many different activities throughout the year for kids, moms and kids, and the whole family. For moms, we offer a variety of “sub-clubs". From the book club to scrapbooking to golf, our sub-clubs are a great way to pursue new interests and meet new friends. We also have "Mom's Night Out" events for socializing without the little ones.

Our club is member run with small groups of members coming together to form Social, Program, Playgroup, New Mommy Meals, Newsletter, Outreach, and Membership Committees, to name a few. Collectively the committees along with additional administrative positions such as Database Coordinator and Secretary, form the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee meets once a month to discuss club issues, plan future activities and put out a monthly newsletter. It is a great way to get involved and have a great time working toward a common goal.

If you are interested in the Iron Horse Mothers Club and would like more information, please join us at one of our Monthly Speaker Series Meetings held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Please contact our membership coordinator for additional information.
